Therapy for Transgender and Neurodivergent Support

What I do

My specialty is therapy for transgender and neurodivergent support- seeing patients in-person in New York City, and virtual sessions with anyone throughout New York State.

Hi! I’m Sky and I’m a transgender woman. Although I’ve seen a handful of therapists, none were transgender themselves. Now, I hope to be the transgender therapist that I once needed. I’m kink-friendly, poly-competent, and experienced with depression, anxiety, BPD, and neurodivergence (ADHD, OCD, and autism). Having transitioned myself, I’m happy to help guide people along their own transition and meet their own goals. I’m also happy to work with those who are thinking about coming out, starting their own transition, or anywhere along the LGBTQ+ rainbow.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

Many mental health struggles are reinforced by unhelpful behavioral patterns (especially avoidance) that keep us disconnected from the lives we want to lead. My goal is to help you move toward the parts of life you've been avoiding, build the daily habits that support lasting well-being, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Exposure and Response Prevention

  • Attachment-informed Care

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy

I believe therapy should be both supportive and challenging. Together, we'll identify the patterns that no longer serve you, develop practical skills to overcome obstacles like avoidance and executive dysfunction, and cultivate perspectives that foster resilience, self-compassion, and hope. True change happens not by waiting to feel ready, but by taking small, intentional steps outside your comfort zone. If you're ready to take that first step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

My Therapy Specialties:

  • Transgender support

  • Neurodivergence

  • Mood disorders

About Me

In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I research trans mental health and regularly present at academic conferences. I have degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from Boston University and an MSW in Mental Health and Substance Abuse from the University of Michigan. Outside of my mental health work, I work on my own mental health by getting outside and getting my heart rate up. I love longboarding, surfing, lifting weights, and simply walking around this incredible city I'm fortunate to call home.

I’m also a Queer/GNC/Trans, poly, and kink affirmative therapist with experience working with these communities & their intersection with my specialties.
