Talk Therapy for the LGBTQ+, artist, and immigrant communities

Hi there! I'm Dana (LMSW),

My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed and patient-centered care, with a commitment to working through an anti-oppressive lens and respect for each person’s unique story. I bring my direct experience supporting individuals in crisis as a former crisis and suicide intervention counselor with RAINN and The Trevor Project. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community, of which I am a part, and others like myself who share the immigrant or artist experience. I specialize in supporting people navigating the challenges of grief, loss, life transitions, systems of oppression, anxiety, depression, or trauma.

Drawing on my creative background as an actor and body worker, I incorporate expressive and somatic practices such as mindfulness and breathing techniques, to support healing through empathy, imagination, curiosity, and self-expression. I am dedicated to cultivating trust and a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healing process.

I offer virtual therapy throughout New York State. I am in-network with Aetna, New School student health, and NYU student health insurances.
